Eligibility Criteria – West Central Railway Apprentices 2025
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed 10th class (Matriculation) or equivalent with at least 50% marks.
- Must possess ITI certificate in relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Age Limit (as on 20.08.2025)
- Minimum Age: 15 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years (additional relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as applicable)
• Ex-Servicemen: Service rendered in Defence + 3 years (up to 10 years).
Reservation & Special Provisions
Reservations are applicable for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-servicemen as per Government of India rules. Candidates must provide valid and latest certificates in the prescribed format at the time of Document Verification.
Selection Process
- Merit List Preparation – Based on the average marks of 10th class and ITI.
2. Document Verification – Shortlisted candidates will be called division/unit-wise.
3. Tie-Breaking Rule – Older candidates will be given preference; if DOB is same, the one who passed 10th earlier will be preferred.⚠️ Note: There will be no written exam or interview.
